What are you doing to be sure you monitor the most relevant issues? What can you do now to prepare for the most likely changes? Which of your organization’s strengths will help you adapt? Which of your organization’s weaknesses need to be better managed?</image:caption>

      <image:title>Squirrel Tracks - Blog - The Entrepreneur’s 15 - My Challenge To You:</image:title>
<image:caption>Spend at least 15 minutes each day working ON your business rather and IN it. Put down your phone, close your computer, shut the door, put your feet on your desk, or even go for a walk. Think about where you want to be in 1-5 years. What will your customers want and need? Will there be new customers you could serve? Are there new products or services that need to be developed? Are the things that you are working on this week moving you closer to your goals? If not, why not? When you are done, re-check your “TO DO” list and see if you need to make any changes. Try it for a week and see what happens. We hope you will to share some of your experiences below.</image:caption>

<image:title>Squirrel Tracks - Blog - Perfection - How Do We Manage Our Perfectionism?</image:title>
<image:caption>“Perfect” is an impossible goal. Find your inner “GOOD ENOUGH.” A website will always need more updates, that’s just the nature of the beast. An important email can be re-worded 25 times, but was probably good enough after 2. Let it go. Make the call. The worst outcome is that you learn what the real challenges might be (rather than the ones you are imagining). Knowledge gives you the power to work on solutions. Keep moving the ball forward, especially when it’s uncomfortable. Very Few Business Decisions are Forever. The world will continue to change and so will our businesses. Work on getting comfortable with continual innovation. Successes and failures are both outcomes that teach us valuable lessons about how to move forward. This is the heart of entrepreneurship. “Perfect” is often the enemy of “Done.” Where is your desire for perfection holding you back? What important steps have you delayed or skipped because something is not “perfect?” Where are you spending too much time? What tasks make you spin out in perfectionism? How do you know when you are spinning out? Find tools to support good time management: timers, calendars, priority lists, reminders, etc. Next to your TO DO list, keep a STOP DOING list. Practice Gratitude. It’s the best antidote for the fears that triggers our perfectionist behaviors. Count your blessing, literally. Right out loud, to yourself or to someone who has earned your trust.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Our Team - Gavin D’Avanther, MBA</image:title>
<image:caption>Hey! My name is Gavin. I am the owner and Senior Consultant for Flying Squirrel Consulting Partners. I entered business the way many people do: through the back door. My undergraduate degree is in Technical Theater and Philosophy. Ya, really. If you had told me, way back then, that I would be pursuing business, I would have laughed you out of the room. I spent almost 20 years in the special-events industry and grew from a technician to upper management. Increasingly, I found that I was being asked to make major business decisions with very little guidance and no effective tools. Through this, I became more interested in business itself, and eventually left the event industry to pursue an MBA. My passion for business consulting comes from my experience of running a small business without any solid business skills. The technical skills that we initially build our businesses upon are very different than the management skills we need to make that business successful. Now, I have worked with over 100 small businesses since 2012 and I look froward to working with you! I love gardening, animals, hiking, travel, singing loudly, and dancing badly. I am a lifelong Girl Scout and I have to admit… I do still prefer cooking over an open flame.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Our Team - DasHel T. Squirrel</image:title>
<image:caption>Our Adventurous Mascot. Dashel inspires us to look up, climb out of the weeds, explore inspirations, and pursue opportunities. Especially when it’s a little bit scary. Dashel is not a risk taker, as you might think, but a calculated planner who trusts the skills and the wisdom of experience and practice to land safely, if not always gracefully. Dashel is playful and kind, and perhaps a little mischievous. Dashel enjoys tormenting the office kitties, bringing a little humor to any situation, and “helping” with the junk mail shredding. And the “T” stands for “The.” (design credit: The NinjaBot)</image:caption>
